Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken a dig at the Gunners by saying he is ‘at home’ at B following his move last month.

The forward signed for Barcelona on February 2, having left the Gunners by mutual consent.

He has made a strong start to life at Barca, scoring five goals in his first six games for the Catalan club.

‘Things are going very well with Xavi,’ Aubameyang told Bein Sports France. ‘He is a legend and will contribute many things to the club.

‘Barca deserves to be in front and I am very happy there because I am at home. I’m Spanish for my mother’s sake.

‘My grandfather was from Atletico and I just hope that wherever he is, he will be proud of me for playing in the league.

‘The league is a good competition for me because it allows me to utilise my qualities.

Aubameyang also confirmed in his interview that he had contact with PSG and a club in Italy before moving to the Nou Camp.
