Leeds United are to be probed by FA after Manchester United teenager, Anthony Elanga was hit by a coin from home fans at Elland Road on Sunday.

Leeds fans threw objects as United Players, as they celebrate their goals in a 4-2 win, with substitute Elanga hit by a coin.

The FA will likely investigate the incident once referee Paul Tierney submits his match report with Ralf Rangick assuring that Leeds are looking into the situation.

‘Obviously, things like that should not happen,’ said Rangnick who went on the pitch to try and break up a melee towards the end of the game.

‘As far as I know, there is some investigation going on from Leeds United. I don’t think anything happened in the end, Anthony Elanga looked well and was happy about scoring his goal.

‘At times we had to cool things down. This is what I did when I walked onto the pitch, I didn’t want anything to happen – no yellow or red cards.’

The said incident happened just three minutes after Elanga’s introduction as substitute.

Elanga also managed to get his own back on the Leeds fans by scoring Manchester United’s fourth and final goal in the 88th minute.
