AS Roma Coach Jose Mourinho could be handed a three game suspension following outburst made to a referee while he was being sent off on Saturday.

In his Roma side’s clash with Verona, Mourinho was dismissed in stoppage time by match official Luca Pairetto having appeared infuriated with the referee’s display from the touchline.

Roma came from 2-0 down to score twice and rescue a draw during the Serie A encounter, but it still left his side down in eighth place and six points off Juventus inside the top four.

The former Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham boss pointed at his head and appeared to make a telephone gesture towards Pairetto.

Mourinho then picked up a ball and kicked it away in frustration, which led to the Portuguese being shown a red card.

The Roma boss responded by gesticulating towards Pairetto and went to speak to him before being held back by goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos.

Mourinho then left the sidelines, but not before making a point of going over to hug his opposite number, Verona coach Igor Tudor.

Mourinho made a ‘Telephone’ gesture at referee Pairetto, Refering to his father, a referee, who was banned as part of Calciopoli (match fixing scandal in 2006) Jose knows Serie A.
