Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial refuted claims made by Ralf Rangnick, that the forward did not want to be part of Manchester United’s squad for Aston Villa clash.

‘He didn’t want to be in the squad,’ said Rangnick. ‘He would have been in the squad normally, but he didn’t want to. That is the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday (on Friday).

Martial responded to Rangnick on his Instagram account: ‘I will never refuse to play a match for Man United. I’ve been here for 7 years and I never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and the fans.’

The Frenchman had tendered his request to leave the Old Trafford club with Servilla making an offer, but United are seeking a loan fee for Martial that will involve the forward’s wage paid in full.

Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this week, called for an “improvement in attitude” at Old Trafford to enable the club challenge the Premier League table toppers.
