This injury according to reports will keep him out of action for the rest of the season.
Barcelona are second in La Liga table, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid and level on points with third-placed Sevilla. Atletico Madrid are two points behind, Real Betis six.
Barcelona will play the remaining five games left this season without Sergio Dest.
