Spanish side Atletico Madrid are likely to face UEFA disciplinary action after their Champions League quarter-final match with Manchester City on Wednesday ended with ugly scenes on and off the pitch. According to Dailymail.

The second leg at the Wanda Metropolitano was marred with series of violence before Manchester City progressed to semi final after pulling a goalless draw with Atletico Madrid.

UEFA could constitute a disciplinary committee to investigate what happened, and will await and assess reports on the braw from the referee and match delegate.

Manchester City trying to protect a 1-0 lead from last week’s first leg, stood the pressure, intense provocation from a fired-up Atletico and a hostile atmosphere to reach the semi-finals after a hard-fought goalless draw.
