In an interview, Mauricio Kuri, governor of Queretaro lamented the horrifying images of the Queretaro fans attacking Atlas fans during a game this weekend, he also expressed surprise about the official reports saying that there were no deaths.
“The images of bloodied and people laying on the ground inside the facilities of La Corregidora Stadium, hinted that there were people killed in the fight between Gallos Blancos and Atlas fans, despite the official figures, Kuri said he was surprised that no one is dead. However, he did reveal that at least one of them had lost an eye.

“We are appalled by what happened, it hurts us all. Seeing these images makes it incredible that there aren’t any dead, because the bodies literally look inert, however my responsibility is to tell the truth. There are 26 people who were admitted to the hospital, of which 19 have already been discharged”, commented Mauricio Kuri.
“We have 4 people right now in code yellow, that means that their lives are not in danger; however, one of them lost his eye, he is from Querétaro and was sent to Mexico City to try to save it, he lost his eye, and we have another one in critical condition,” said the governor of Querétaro.
