Newcastle are moving closer to yet another signing of the season as they plan to land Lyon star Bruno Guimaraes, as reports suggest that the player is undergoing a medical in Ecuador ahead of a £30million move to Newcastle.
The Magpies offered Guimaraes a pay rise in a bid to lure him and Sportsmail understands progress has been made since last night.
