Roma announced that they’ve signed  Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old played only two Premier League matches from the starts for  Arsenal in the first half of this season, and he has on many occasions asked for more playing time to bolster his career.

Mikel Arteta blocked Maitland-Niles joining Everton last summer, but the club have now given the him the chance to go out on loan.

“I am just delighted to be here and can’t wait to crack on,” Maitland-Niles told Roma‘s official media channels.

“I want to help the team and show what I can do as a player.

“Thank you to the fans for the support they’ve already shown me – I hope we can go on to do something great by the end of the season.”
