Former Arsenal Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has broken his silence on his fallout with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
The Gabon international was stripped of his captaincy at the club after a disciplinary breach that saw Arteta sideline him for a number of fixtures, putting his future at the club in doubt.
Aubameyang took to social media to publish a post that fans believe was directed at Arteta and Arsenal.
The striker posted a photo of himself with his family celebrating Christmas and wished his fans “Merry Christmas”, Aubameyang ended the post with a hashtag#familyfirst”.
A lot of fans believed he passed a message of him leaving the North London Club, rather than expressing the importance of family.
The striker had not posted on social media since December 3 and has not made any public statement since he returned from his trip to France where he went to visit his sick mother.
His visit to France was agreed with the club, but he came back a day later than what has been agreed, he also showed up in training on the agreed date
