Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira were both inducted into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame.
They are the ninth and 10th former players to be inducted, joining the likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham, who were all voted in during the Hall of Fame’s inaugural year in 2021. According to Dailymail.

Rooney joined Machester United from Everton and won five Premier League titles with the Red Devils. Rooney described the induction as a ‘huge honour’. Gunners hero Vieira admitted that it ‘makes me realise I had a really good career’.
‘It’s a huge honour for me to be named in the Premier League Hall of Fame, alongside an incredible group of players who have already been inducted,’ the 36-year-old Rooney, who scored 208 Premier League goals – placing him second on the all-time list – said.
‘Growing up, I watched the Premier League as far back as I can remember. My dream was always to become a professional footballer, score goals, and win trophies, and I was lucky enough to win the Premier League five times.
‘I have so many brilliant memories from my years playing for Everton and Manchester United, and I’m really proud of what we achieved. To enter the Hall of Fame is very special for me personally and I’m grateful to be recognised.’
