Paris Saint-Germain have been handed a boost ahead of their round of 16 Champions League encounter with the full return of Neymar to training.

The Brazilian star has been on the sideline for more than two months after he suffered an ankle injury during their 3-1 victory over Saint-Etienne on November 28.

The 30-year-old was captured laughing and joking alongside his team-mates including Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

His return to training will give PSG fans some hope that they start him alongside Messi and Mbappe against Los Blancos.

Dialymail reported that “It was not the tackle itself that caused the injury. Rather, the injury came from the Brazilian forward landing awkwardly in his ankle.

The Brazilian forward was then carried off the pitch and down the tunnel to receive further treatment.

In his absence, PSG won just four of their eight Ligue 1 games, though they are still 13 points clear at the top ahead of Marseille.”
