Everyon have completed his loan move to Donny van de Beek, bringing his unstable stay at Manchester United to a halt.
The midfielder had been benched for a number of matches at Old Trafford following his £40million transfer from Ajax last season with the Dutch international playing just 50 times in two years under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, then Ralf Rangnick.
But the 24-year old has now completed a move to Everton as the first Toffees signing announced after Frank Lampard’s arrival at Goodison Park as manager.

Van de Beek, who will put on the No 30 shirt for Everton this season, told the club’s official website: ‘I had a really positive meeting with the new coach (Lampard). We have the same ideas about football and he had a lot of influence on my decision.
‘I played against him when I was at Ajax, and he was at Chelsea [as manager], so he knows me as a player. He thinks I have qualities that can help the team.
‘I can learn a lot from him because he was a little bit in the same position – a midfield player who scored a lot of goals. He can help me a lot, so I think I’m in a good spot.
‘I want to improve with Everton. There are always things that can be better and I work hard every day to do that.’
