Timo Werner reveals that the supports he gets from fans after his struggles in front of goal is incredible.
The Chelsea striker has scored 18 goals in 79 appearances since joining from German side RB Leipzig for £53million in 2020.
But the number of eye-popping chances missed by the 25-year-old has caught the eye.
However, Werner believes he can still count on the backing of the fans.
Speaking to Sky Sports and Premier League broadcaster Lynsey Hooper, he said: ‘Sometimes I don’t know why they are supporting me so much, because I’m a striker and I want to score but miss chances.

‘It makes it so fun to play in front of the Chelsea fans & when they give the support they give me, it makes me stronger when I miss chances or have hard times.
‘I try to give my best every game, 100% to make sure the team are happy.’
The German international missed 18 chances last season as reported by the Premier League.
