Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been sent back to Emirates Stadium by Gabon for medical examinations for proper medical examination after he was diagnosed with heart lesions.
Earlier this month Aubameyang tested positive for Covid-19, but has returned to training and felt healthy.
Arsenal are still waiting to hear from the Gabon Football Federation.
The striker did not take part in any of Gabon’s first two group games at this year’s AFCON.
Reports had it that the Gunners have been in touch with Aubameyang and are sure that his condition is not serious.

The superstar tested positive for the virus on their arrival in Cameroon for the tournament, but he later returned a negative test last week.
Auba has been linked with a move away from the north London Club after being stripped of the club captaincy by Mikel Arteta in December following a disciplinary breach.
