Erling Haaland’s future is already a big issue for Borussia Dortmund and the club want to discover the striker’s intentions as soon as possible, a process that will begin with a meeting next week.

Dortmund have requested a meeting with Haaland’s representatives, as they hope to ask the big question and find out first hand if the Norwegian future plans.

The striker’s current deal with Dortmund runs until 2024 and his release clause of 75 million euros for this summer. According to German newspaper Bild, who have reported that Dortmund are keen to clear the matter up, one way or the other.

The 75m euro release clause is a reduced figure owing to an agreement in his deal which was triggered after he remained at Dortmund for two years. In today’s market, that’s a bargain for one of the top young players on the planet and Dortmund know it, but that was how they managed to persuade him to sign and stay with them.

The Norwegian is very much on the radar of a number of Europe’s top clubs and MARCA have reported that Haaland will make a decision on his future by the end of January. Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in thr the 21-year-old.
