Ferran Torres left for Barcelona for a deal of £55million less than 18months after joining the club and the Citizens are not considering signing another striker to replace him at the Etihad.
Torres left last week to spend the festive period with his loved ones at Valencia and is set to be unveiled at the Camp Nou on Monday.
Torres was unveiled in a video on Catalans website on Tuesday, where he lined up alongside a number of other promising youngsters, with Pedri, Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia.
The striker scored nine goal in 19 Premier League appearances but could not force a way into the first eleven.
City are expected to sign a striker to replace Sergio Aguero who also left to join the Catalans but later retired base on health issues.
And now, with the vacuum created by Torres’ departure, supporters expect to see a classical finisher heading to the Etihad, only to be told that there’s no plans for that.
Torres has not played since he was injured in Spain’s UEFA Nations League final defeat by France in October. He has scored 12 goals in 22 international appearances.
