Camp Nou was filled to capacity as over 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans stormed Barcelona’s stadium.

Ideally, only 5,000 of the German club supporters should have been inside, yet the Catalans are believed to have raised three million euros through the sale of tickets to opposition fans. According to Marca.

No information has been gathered as to how the situation came about, although Barcelona have launched an investigation into just how many tickets were able to be bought by away supporters.

In another development, the vice president of Barcelona, Elena Fort, stated that the club has made around three million euros in profit from the ticket sales of the match.

“We have to open our eyes and reflect,” Fort declared.

“I feel ashamed at everything we experienced at the Camp Nou on Thursday.”

Marca stated that what occurred in the days leading up to the match was a massive boost in sales for tickets across the ground, with Barcelona believing their own fans were gearing up to support the team towards a European semi-final.”

“Instead, these requests were being made by Frankfurt fans, all before the club could realise what was happening and install an IP identification tool to prevent the sale of tickets to German computers.”
