Sweden won’t play at Qatar 2022 in November after losing 2-0 to Poland.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic started on the bench and was introduced at minute 80 when his side were already two goals down.
“As long as I can stay healthy and contribute something.” Ibramovich said.
The 40-year-old’s contract with Milan expires in the summer and it is not known if the striker will extend his stay or not, but Ibra is not considering retirement at all.
When asked if he would continue playing, he replied: “As long as I can stay healthy and play and contribute something, I hope so.
“I will continue for as long as I can,” he continued in an interview with CMore, as quoted by ANSA.
“You won’t get another reply from me, only because we didn’t win and didn’t qualify for the World Cup.”
Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals in 22 appearances across all competitions this season. He said last week that the idea of retiring gives him a ‘sense of panic’. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan may offer him a contract extension with a pay cut and Ibra could become one of the club directors at the end of his playing career.
