As Italian football try to find ways to give concrete help, as well as just messages of peace and solidarity.
Football Itali reported that “Spezia have announced they will donate 50 per cent of the ticket sales from this weekend’s Serie A game against Cagliari to Save the Children, who are organising a specific campaign to help Ukrainian kids in need of humanitarian aid, currently believed to be at least 400,000. Napoli have announced that they will put the new special edition Diego Armando Maradona jerseys up for auction, signed by the players, to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees.
Instead, it will be auctioned off and the club confirmed it will play with the traditional blue kit.
This also allows Napoli to silence the growing protest from fans, who were irritated that they were going into this top of the table Scudetto showdown with one of their limited edition away kits”.
