Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez is said to have requested for a surprise return to Barcelona as his Atletico Madrid contract has ended.

The Uruguayan is currently out of contract at the Mardrid club and no news on renewals had been heard.

Having advanced in age has reduced his speed and abilities with many reports suggesting that Atletico Madrid may end it with the striker, after firing them to win La Liga title last season.

Reports claim that Suarez has already spoken to Joan Laporta and Barca to indicate his desire over a possible return. As reported by Football espana.

The striker is ready to lower his salary to get the deal done.
